The Super Puma (AS 332 M1 AS 532 UL) belongs to the Puma, Super Puma, EC 225/EC 725 family of transport helicopters built by Eurocopter. From 1987 to 1995, the DGA (French General Directorate for Armament) ordered 27 “Cougars. As a twin-engine, medium weight helicopter (9 tonnes) the renovated Cougar includes special mission equipment offering navigation and night vision capabilities. The Cougar’s main missions are tactical transport, day and night.
