Product description
The M142 HIMARS is a lightweight multiple rocket launcher developed by Lockheed Martin, mounted on a wheeled Oshkosh M1140 chassis. Development began in 1996 and was completed in 2002.
Known for high mobility (up to 94 km/h), rapid deployment, and precision strikes, it uses “shoot-and-scoot” tactics for quick repositioning. Deployed since 2022 by the US, Ukraine, and other countries in the Russo-Ukrainian War, its success has led to new orders, with the US Army planning to expand its stockpile by about US$400 million.
