Diorama Splendid Hotel - Painted and patinated, and possibly enhanced with decorative elements, with these accessories you can create an ideal presentation setting for your models with a minimum of work. You have the possibility to design the front of the house into a „Splendid Hotel“, with a view into the entrance hall. The first guests arrive at the front of the hotel in their own car, a Citroen 5CV Trèfle. This car had three seats and the arrangement of the occupants resembled a cloverleaf, hence its nickname. The body of the car was made of wood to which the preformed sheet metal was nailed. was nailed to it. The pedals were made of aluminium and the floor was covered with a black floor mat. The Citroën had only one door on the right side. On the right side the driver‘s seat was fixed, but the passenger seat could be moved. The waterproof hood was supported on pillars and the 850 cc engine could accelerate the car up to 60 km/h. The other hotel guests are picked up from the railway station by the Citroen C4 „Splendid Hotel“. This minibus, which belonged to the hotel, drove the guests and their luggage back and forth between the station and the hotel. With a technology that was completely new for the time and inspired by American construction techniques, the C.4s were extremely robust vehicle, both in terms of the engine and the bodywork. The fiscal useful power of 9 hp increased to 10 hp, then remained unchanged and was long timer later reduced again to 9 hp. The variety of body styles offered by Citroën meant that there was something for everyone. Saloon, 4-seater, 6-seater, coupé, cabriolet, roadster, commercial roadster, van,
vans, minibuses/taxis, etc.
At Heller, we are constantly working to produce our products as sustainable as possible. In recent years, we have therefore taken many measures to increase resource efficiency as much as possible.
Since 2023, we have been producing all Heller model kits with recycled plastic. This gives existing plastic a new life in a great kit while maintaining the same quality.
Instead of packing our sprues in plastic bags, we use tissue paper to transport all components in a clean, protected and environmentally friendly way. Thanks to our seal closure, we do not need shrink film. This also significantly increases the recyclability of our packaging.
We are proud of our large archive of injection moulds. That is why we rework, repair and improve existing moulds instead of throwing them away. Great models are preserved and at the same time a lot of energy and material is saved. That's why we proudly display the year of manufacture of our moulds and the year of the last general overhaul clearly on every product box.
